Caleche Eau de Toilette
Calèche, the first Hermès women's fragrance, was created in 1961 by perfumer Guy Robert. Its name refers to the Maison's emblematic carriage: the elegant and light 19th-century horse-drawn carriage.
Olfactory notes
- Top notes are aldehydes, cypress, bergamot, neroli, orange blossom, lemon (acid lime) and mandarin orange.
- The heart notes are iris, ylang-ylang, rose, gardenia, jasmine and lily of the valley.
- Base notes are oakmoss, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, cedar, amber and tonka bean.
The little story
Composed by Guy Robert in 1961, Calèche is the House's first feminine fragrance. It is a floral woody chypre with a great femininity, whose name evokes the House's emblematic horse-drawn carriage. Calèche is a novel that shines through the beauty of its raw materials, from the joy of its citrus fruits to the modernity of its aldehyde notes, from the floral heart embroidered with ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine, with a woody and chypre trail that is underlined by the nobility of iris.
