Why Jacky? Aimé Guerlain kept the loving memory of a young woman named Jicky, to whom he paid tribute with one of his most beautiful olfactory creations. Coincidentally, his nephew Jacques's nickname was also Jicky.
Jicky is presented in the mythical "inverted heart" bottle. This bottle was designed in 1912 by George Chevalier as the quintessence of femininity: a subtle combination of curves and lines, rounded and harmonious contours, and a stopper carved in the shape of an inverted heart.
In 1889, Aimé Guerlain created Jicky, his first masterpiece. It was immediately classified as "the first modern perfume". Of a complex nature, it is also the first unisex creation of perfumery. It marks the beginning of emotional perfumery, which no longer tries to copy the aromas of flowers, but to arouse emotions.
