What are sun or age spots like? Brown, brown or very dark, flat, rounded and oval with regular edges. They appear isolated or grouped in areas exposed to the sun (face, hands, neckline, arms and back). They do not disappear during the winter, they persist throughout the year. They are formed by the accumulation of two skin pigments: melanin and lipofuscin. The cause of its appearance is over-exposure to the sun and/or pollution.
