GUESS
Famous for its black-and-white clothing ads featuring budding models such as Anna Nicole Smith, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer, who looked like stars of the 1950s, the GUESS brand has also been successful in its fragrance collections for men and women in constantly evolving. The company was formed in 1977 by four brothers, Maurice, Paul, Armand and George Marciano, who received funding for the business of his family, the owners and operators of Jordache Jeans. The height of the company's success was in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when designer jeans were at the height of American fashion. Although the GUESS brand faded during the volatile fashion period of the 1990s, the company revived in the field of youth fashion due in part to advertisements with pop culture icon Paris Hilton. Through a partnership with Revlon, GUESS launched its first women's scent, "Original ""GUESS for Women in the late 1980s. The company also launched several perfumes of women and men during 2003 and 2009 under its license with the perfume design company Parlux. The company then partnered with Coty to continue manufacturing and selling its offers of male and female scents. GUESS offers over 15 scents, including GUESS Dare for women and GUESS Night for men. The company operates three divisions: GUESS Marciano, which manufactures its ready-to-use accessories and clothing; GUESS, which creates its collections of casual and denim clothing; and GUESS children.
