AMOUAGE
His Highness Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud al bu Said had the dream of restoring the great Arab art of perfumery in the region. Amouage is a luxury perfume house established in Oman in 1983 by the Sultan of Oman. Amouage uses traditional perfume ingredients for the Middle East, such as agar wood, incense, musk, rose and spices, but perfume developers are perfumers of leading fragrance and flavor companies. The first fragrance of Amouage (Amouage was its previous name, now known as Amouage Gold) was created by the French perfumer Guy Robert in 1983. Guy Robert has created his masterpieces for Hermes, Dior, Rochas ...
Almost all perfumes are in the traditional bottles of Amouage: bottles with feminine essences recall the shape of the Ruwi Palace Mosque in Muskat, Oman; Bottles with male essences are shaped like Janjar, Oman's traditional dagger.
